These 12 day old Gray Fox kits came in today after being found under a shed that was being relocated. The finders left the babies in a box for 3 days hoping the mother would come back. What the finders didn’t know is that babies this young cannot thermoregulate and must have an outside heat source. The kits came in cold and appeared to be dead. Her collar will help us track her movements, and we also were able to check her for parasites and disease. She looked to be in good shape, and was ready to get back to her neck of the woods.
