Did you hear a loud boom a few minutes ago? A beaver dam was being blown up in north Madison county, authorities were alerted beforehand! Here’s an example via Zachary Farmer | Talk-N West TN 101.5 FM WNWS

This video features 2 beavers, a calm river, and a pretty cityscape. But if you listen closely, you hear the band A Flock of Seagulls, who were performing in concert across the river. The beavers share the river with lots of creatures that enjoy water, including humans. In this video from July, you see a couple in a canoe heading upstream, and a sea-doo enthusiast as well. The beaver moved away after noticing the sea-doo. A passing sea-doo creates pretty big waves by the time the waves hit the riverbank, so sometimes the older beavers will move to a more sheltered spot or to higher ground to reduce the disruption. | Mike’s photos and videos of beavers
