Fresno County will now be the managing partner behind much of the region’s efforts to reduce homelessness. It comes after the Fresno County Board of Supervisors established the “Office of Housing and Homelessness” at the latest meeting. The new agency takes over management of the Fresno Madera Continuum of Care, which oversees federal funding, homeless housing and services, and the yearly homeless count. | KSEE24 News

As temperatures drop, the valley’s homeless population is becoming more visible, as many are beginning to shelter under overpasses and tents to avoid the rain however, one local shelter is sitting half empty. “We can serve 89 men.
