Denmark has launched one of the world’s most ambitious renewable energy projects — an artificial energy island in the North Sea designed to collect and distribute massive amounts of clean wind power. • The energy island will be located in the North Sea, surrounded by offshore wind farms. • It will initially support 3 gigawatts of offshore wind power. • That capacity is enough to supply electricity to around 3 million homes. • The island acts as a central hub, collecting power from hundreds of tu
