I have experimented a LOT with avocado dye and have tried many different recipes, ingredients and methods to make paint pigments. Such a fascinating range of colours! The chemistry is tricky! My favourite though is a pinky-purple ink made from the pits and modified by increasing the pH with baking soda or washing soda. Avocado dye may be modified with iron to make more blues, purples, and blacks hues. I have created oranges with deceasing the pH. This post is to show you that I have much to lear
