Calanthes are easy to grow woodland orchids, that are almost as easy as Bletillas, though we wouldn't plant them in a bog. Some cultivars are even fragrant! The firm, corrugated foliage is attractive most of the year, but we typically cut it back in late winter/early spring before the new foliage and flowers emerge. The flower stalks open gardually and last for a couple of weeks. We are sold out for the year, but will have more varieties available next year. #orchids #calanthe #woodlandgarden #s
