I’ve been feeling heavy today and thinking about the Reiner family. I wanted to share this clip from my interview with Carl Reiner because it captures something I’ll always treasure. Just before we went live — while the opening titles were playing — I sat down across from Carl, casually took off my shoes as if getting comfortable, then opened a box and pulled out an identical pair and put them on. It was completely absurd, very subtle, and meant only for him. The audience never saw it — Carl was
