Donald Trump's new T1 smartphone is facing scrutiny over its "Built in America" claim, with reports suggesting manufacturing occurs in China. The launch was plagued with technical issues, including preorder system errors.

The Trump Organization has launched Trump Mobile and plans to release the T1, a smartphone that it says is "made in USA" at the same time that the iPhone 17 will launch. The problem is, the phone was made in China.

In a recent development that has captured public attention, the Trump Organization's newly unveiled smartphone has rapidly ignited extensive and considerable debate across various sectors.

The Trump Organization says the phone is domestically manufactured, but its hardware—and a statement from Eric Trump—suggest otherwise.

Along with the service, Trump Mobile is rolling out the $499 T1 Phone in August, a “gold smartphone engineered for performance and proudly designed and built in the United States for customers who expect the best from their mobile carrier.”
