Unretired NFL edge rusher Shaquil Barrett is returning to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. After Barrett, whom the Miami Dolphins waived from the reserve/retired list Thursday, cleared waivers Friday, he agreed to sign with Buccaneers, according to multiple reports.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are bringing back a familiar face for their stretch run. Tampa Bay is re-signing former Pro Bowl outside linebacker Shaquil Barrett, according to multiple outlets. Barrett cleared waivers on Friday after he was recently released by the Miami Dolphins .

With Tampa Bay’s defense burdened with multiple injuries throughout this season, Barrett hopes to be a key factor as the Bucs attempt a playoff push over the final two games. The Bucs face the Panthers on Sunday, while the Falcons will play the Commanders.
