Thursday morning, North Texans woke up to the coolest morning since April 22. Temperatures across North Texas were in the 30s, 40s and 50s. The dry air in place heats up and cools down fast so expect the sunshine to warm up into the 60s by 11 a.m. and continue to warm up to the high of 71 degrees Thursday afternoon.

Southeast Texas experiences a short-lived fall chill before temperatures rise again, with highs reaching the mid-80s next week.

A gradual warmup is on the way as the upper high moves further east and southeast. With the majority of the moisture mainly west of North Texas, rain chances remain minimal to none during this forecast period. There is a very small chance there might be some rain in the northwest sides of North Texas Sunday night into Monday.
