Sesko isn't the only striker that United have looked at. Ollie Watkins is admired by the club, but Aston Villa are adamant that the England international is not for sale, while RB Leipzig have been much more receptive to the possibility of selling Sesko if they can receive an acceptable fee.

Ollie Watkins is keen on a move to Manchester United if the club are unable to sign Benjamin Sesko, according to reports. United have now tabled a €85 million (£73.8m) bid to sign Sesko from RB Leipzig but the Bundesliga side are also considering a rival offer from Newcastle.

Manchester United believe a deal for Watkins could be done for £40m to £45m, while Sesko is likely to be around £69m to £78m
