Amid a handful of injuries in their running back room, the San Francisco 49ers are bolstering their backfield.

San Francisco, who has battled numerous injuries on both sides of the ball throughout training camp, will re-sign former running back Jeff Wilson Jr., ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Sunday, citing Wilson’s agents, Drew Rosenhaus and Shawn O’Dare.

August 10 - The San Francisco 49ers are reportedly bringing back a familiar face to an injury-depleted backfield. Jeff Wilson Jr., who spent the first four-plus years of his NFL career in San Francisco before spending the past three seasons in Miami, will re-sign with the 49ers after working out for the team on July 30.
