While the buzz has significantly died down on Kendrick Lamar's Super Bowl LIX halftime show, there's no denying that his performance has emerged as one of the most talked about acts in recent history -- for more reasons than one.

He teased “Not Like Us” twice before finally performing the first verse of the track that concludes with the popular “A minorrrr!” line — a lyric heard and sung throughout the announced New Orleans crowd of 65,719 at Caesars Superdome. As expected, Lamar changed some of the lyrics for television, but the message was clear.

The singer didn’t stop there, saying Jay-Z, whose Roc Nation is in a partnership with the NFL, serves as a “continuation of efforts led by Colin Kaepernick to advocate for racial (justice) and an end to police brutality,” per Sporting News.
