PM Modi chaired a top security meet on Tuesday and gave complete operational freedom to the armed forces to decide and hit the targets as part of India's response to terror attack in Baisaran.

"Seven days have passed since the Pahalgam incident but, so far, India has not provided a shred of evidence for its baseless allegations against Pakistan," army spokesman Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry told reporters in the garrison city of Rawalpindi.

Pakistan refuted India's claims regarding the Pahalgam attack. They accused India of backing terrorism within Pakistan. Pakistan presented Abdul Majeed's arrest as evidence. India suspended the Indus Waters Treaty and closed borders.
