At least one person has died, and one person remains unaccounted for, while at least 10 people have been injured following multiple explosions at the U.S. Steel Clairton plant.

An explosion occurred Monday at a steel factory in Clairton, Pennsylvania, authorities said. A spokesperson for Allegheny County said a rescue operation was underway at U.S. Steel Clairton Coke Works for people trapped under the rubble.

The explosion took place at the US Steel Clairton Coke Works plant, located south of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
