The weather expected Thursday morning is forcing some fans to hit the roads or skies a little earlier than planned.

The Cotton Bowl semifinal is set to be played as scheduled in North Texas on Friday, Jan. 10 despite severe inclement weather expected in the region. Weather forecasts project that the area could receive more than 4 inches of snow only days before the game.

AT&T Stadium and Cotton Bowl Classic officials say they are monitoring weather reports leading up to the Jan. 10 game between the Texas Longhorns and Ohio State Buckeyes.
