Kevin Durant praises Alperen Sengun, explains what makes him "a unique talent"
"Alpi (Sengun) is such a unique talent," Durant told The Athletic in a recent interview. "I've never had the chance to play next to a big who can dominate in the post the way he does. It's something you don't see too often in our game these days, but he's got so much more to his game."
Alperen Sengun is shooting a career high from beyond the arc and that improvement started this offseason with his Türkiye national team.
I know I can shoot. The only thing for me was confidence, and shooting it consistently every time. That’s what I’m doing right now.”
Giannis Antetokounmpo left Sengun behind on a huge dunk, then capped it with an ice-cold jab that has since turned viral online.
Houston Rockets big man Alperen Sengun has been putting the league on notice this season. It's quite possible that he could be headed to his first All-NBA bid. Even more possible that he's headed towards his second All-Star campaign.
Cameras caught Fred VanVleet’s awkward reaction as he held his nose when Alperen Sengun was coming to the bench to celebrate his success.
