The Philadelphia 76ers have just signed Lonnie Walker IV to a two-year, $3 million dollar deal, per Shams Charania. Walker has been playing in the EuroLeague this season for the Zalgiris Kaunas, and had an NBA-out in his contract.

Marc Stein reported in late December that the Sixers, Timberwolves, Nuggets, Celtics and Heat were “potential suitors” for Walker. According to Stein, Tuesday was the buyout deadline in Walker’s contract with Lithuanian club Žalgiris Kaunas.

The Sixers are signing 26-year-old shooting guard Lonnie Walker IV to a two-year contract, according to a report from ESPN's Shams Charania. Walker, a six-year NBA veteran, had one more day to opt out of his contract with the Lithuanian club he was spending the season with.

Lonnie Walker IV will be leaving the EuroLeague to make his NBA comeback. Citing Walker’s agent, both Shams Charania and Marc Stein report that the player is signing a contract with the Philadelphia 76ers, exercising an NBA out clause he had in his deal with Zalgiris Kaunas.

The Philadelphia 76ers made the move to bring over Lonnie Walker IV from overseas as they look to get a bit younger in the rotation around their Big 3. A former first-round pick, Walker is looking to make an impact and add to Philadelphia's playoff push.
