The unions representing more than 7,000 CVS workers in Southern California have reached a tentative agreement on a contract.

(NBC, KYMA/KECY) - Workers at CVS locations across Southern California have gone on strike for better pay and health care. The strike was authorized by a vote of the two local United Food and Commercial Workers Unions involved on September 29, with more than 90% in favor.

The strike involved UFCW Locals 5, 324, 648, 770, 1167, 1428, 1442, and San Diego-based 135, which also represents workers in Imperial County. Together, these locals represent 7,000 workers, with more than 900 in San Diego County.
