New Orleans Saints rookie quarterback Tyler Shough had a bit of a rollercoaster performance to kick off his pro career. The rookie dealt with a lot of injuries throughout his college career, so it was a bit concerning to hear that he is dealing with a a new ailment following his first action.

Shough got off to a good start as he hit wideout Kevin Austin Jr. for a nine-yard gain on his first pass attempt. He went 5 of 8 on the drive while leading the Saints to their first score of the game, a 31-yard field goal by Blake Grupe, before the end of the first half.

Tyler Shough had an up-and-down preseason debut for the New Orleans Saints. Shough threw a pick six, but he rallied back to throw a 54-yard touchdown pass against the Los Angeles Chargers. The pick six occurred on New Orleans' second drive of the second half.
