'Wicked'-themed drinks, merchandise coming to Starbucks: How to get yours
"Wicked" is scheduled to hit theaters on Nov. 22 and Starbucks is partnering with Universal Pictures to celebrate the movie's release with two new beverages and several new cups inspired by the film. Starting Tuesday, Oct. 22, the two new beverages, inspired by Glinda and Elphaba from the movie, will be available at Starbucks locations nationwide for a limited time. Glinda's Pink Potion: Features a Mano Dragonfruit Starbucks Refresher beverage hand-shaken with creamy coconut milk, ice, and a scoop of real, freeze-dried dragonfruit. The drink is topped with nondairy strawberry cold foam and finished with an "Oz-dusting of magic," aka colorful candy sprinkles. Elphaba's Cold Brew: Features Starbucks Cold brew, a custom blend of beans crafted to steep long and cold for a "super-smooth cold brew coffee." The drink is sweetened with peppermint-flavored syrup, topped with nondairy matcha cold foam and colorful green candy sprinkles. These stores will offer an assortment of cold cups, tumblers, keychains and more, according to Starbucks, and the collection showcases shades of "vibrant pink, bold green and glistening gold." Additionally, one special gift card design will not be available until Nov. 7, according to Starbucks – a gold-hued card held in a Grimmerie-inspired casing that doubles as a keychain and requires a minimum load of $50.
