One of baseball's top insiders believes the Boston Red Sox should sign Alex Bregman, but only under one condition.

According to longtime MLB insider Ken Rosenthal, that inaction might be a ploy from the Red Sox — especially if it leads to a desperate Bregman eventually lowering his contract demands with spring right around the corner.

While a number of important Red Sox were in attendance, superstar third baseman Rafael Devers was noticeably absent after bowing out late due to a "last-minute scheduling conflict," per MassLive's Chris Cotillo.
