Some new details have emerged on the Vancouver Canucks-New York Rangers trade that fell through last weekend that would've sent J.T. Miller back to "The Big Apple."

The J.T. Miller trade rumors continue to swirl, with NHL insider Frank Seravalli shedding new light on the Vancouver Canucks forward’s potential destinations. On Thursday, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman revealed that the New York Rangers and the Carolina Hurricanes have been granted permission to talk to Miller without incurring tampering.

Miller, who does have a no-trade clause in his contract, is believed to be very interested in returning to New York, as he was selected by the Rangers in the first round of the 2011 NHL Draft. He played parts of his first six seasons with them until getting traded to the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2018.
