The five people killed when an Amazon cargo jet ran off a runway at Miami International Airport were all inside a van carrying seven people from a cleaning company, and an SUV hit outside of airport property,

A single-engine plane crash killed a pilot in Titusville Monday; NTSB investigators will examine the recovered wreckage soon.

The NTSB said the crew survived after the Amazon cargo plane overran the runway, caught fire and collided with two vehicles carrying eight occupants.

Runway 30 remains closed at Miami following the fatal Sunday incident, alongside runway 26L, as investigations continue. The 32-year-old aircraft still sits some 1,299 feet (396 meters) from the end of the runway. The pilots are still to be interviewed.

The pilots of the Cessna 150 and the state patrol Bell 407 helicopter that collided in flight near Carlisle, Pennsylvania, were in radio contact prior to the accident, according to the preliminary report released by the National Transportation Safety Board. The accident occurred August 19 over Carlisle Airport (N94) west of Harrisburg.

San Diego Fire-Rescue Department officials responded to what they described as a plane on fire Monday evening at Montgomery-Gibbs Executive Airport. About 30 fire personnel were on the scene, according to a tweet from the department,
