Nike will support the athlete, who already holds the women's world record for the mile, with a "holistic system" as part of a new initiative called Breaking4.

Nike on Wednesday announced its latest “moonshot”: to help Faith Kipyegon become the first woman to run a mile in under 4 minutes. It’s been more than 70 years since Roger Bannister became the first man to break the 4-minute barrier. In 2023, Kipyegon lowered the women’s world record to 4:07.
