The New York Knicks defeated the San Antonio Spurs, 124-113, in the 2025 NBA Cup championship game in Las Vegas on Tuesday to claim their first trophy since they won the 1973 NBA championship. The Knicks trailed by as many as 11 in the second half, but dominated the fourth quarter and pulled away down the stretch.
The Knicks started the third just 2-of-8 from the floor, allowing the Spurs to open a double-digit lead. New York would bring it back down to single digits, but the highlight was this Victor Wembanyama reverse alley-oop slam.
