Google says its artificial intelligence chatbot Gemini will now deliver up-to-date news from The Associated Press in the tech giant’s first such deal with a news publisher.

Google announced Wednesday that its Gemini AI is coming to enterprise subscribers and that real-time AP news is coming to Gemini chats. The Latest Tech News, Delivered to Your Inbox

The two parties are now broadening their collaboration to give the Gemini app a boost. Google announced in a blog post that it is expanding its partnership with the news outlet to provide a “feed of real-time information” to the Gemini app.

Alongside the Nest updates, the Google Home app is also getting expanded support for smart locks connected via Matter, adding the ability to set passcodes, among other features. The lock updates are rolling out through the app’s “Public Preview” feature on Android, with iOS support coming in early 2025.
