A wildfire near Flanders Lake is forcing evacuations in Crosslake, covering over 1000 acres and prompting the community center to serve as a shelter for displaced residents.

According to the Minnesota Incident Command System, the fire is more than 1,700 acres in size and was 20% contained. As of Sunday late afternoon, 139 firefighters were working to put out the fire.
