The New Mexico National Guard has rescued nearly 300 people from flooding in Roswell on Saturday night and Sunday morning. According to the National Guard, they have rescued 290 people and transported 30 people to area hospitals in Roswell.

Roswell, N.M., received nearly a third of its annual rainfall total in just a few hours on Sunday. Rescue efforts were ongoing with more storms in the forecast.
