Cleveland’s latest acquisition is left-hander John Means, who has been rumored to be coming to the Guardians for the last several days. The deal became official on Wednesday as Means signed a one-year contract worth $1 million with a club option worth $6 million plus a possible $1.5 million in incentives.

Musgrove’s 37 wins and 559⅓ innings in 98 games (97 starts) are second most on the Padres over the past four seasons, trailing only Yu Darvish (39 and 579). Musgrove’s 3.20 ERA is second lowest in team history behind Dave Dravecky (119 starts from 1982-87) among pitchers who have made at least 72 starts for the Padres.
