Newcomer Caleb Martin knows all about zone defenses from his days with the Miami Heat and understands what it takes to succeed in the scheme. There were some mishaps in Wednesday's preseason win over the Brooklyn Nets and Martin got on Kelly Oubre Jr. to be better in some instances on that end.

KJ Martin feels his offensive game is coming along. Adding a three-point shot to his game was one of the 76ers forward’s main goals heading into training camp. He also wanted to get a better understanding of coach Nick Nurse’s concepts and schemes.

Kelly Oubre Jr. had a terrific night scoring the basketball as he led the Sixers with 18 points in a 117-95 win over the Nets at home in the fifth of six preseason games. He scored 10 of the 18 in the second quarter as he made a difference for Philadelphia to build a lead.
