Snow is expected to continue into the evening tonight in Rhode Island.

While original forecasts called for 4 inches of snow, parts of the state saw as much as nine inches of snow in Saturday's storm.

12 News reporter Ethan Logue gives an update on the latest conditions after Rhode Island saw several inches of snowfall.

Forecasters have been monitoring the upcoming coastal storm for several days and now have confidence in the likely track.

"Travel will be difficult, especially Sunday night into Monday morning when accumulation rates will be highest," the weather service said.

Winter will deliver a one-two punch of snow and dangerously cold temperatures to Southern New England this weekend.
