Great Wolf Lodge Mashantucket announced the resort will open earlier than expected, according to a statement, with a soft opening on Friday, April 25.

The new indoor water park and resort is set to open in mid-2025 on a 13-acre space "steps away" from the Foxwoods Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut.

Conversations between Great Wolf and Mashantucket first began in the early 2000s to bring a resort to eastern Connecticut. However, the 2008 economic crash put a quick end to that.

Christian Gonzalez, Keion White, and David Andrews joined the lodge's "Patriot Plunge," racing down slides in the 92,000-square-foot indoor water park alongside a Make-A-Wish participant.
