The Orioles plan to tap into new special adviser Adam Jones’ experience in Japan to help expand the ballclub’s reach.

Retired All-Star outfielder Adam Jones is rejoining the Baltimore Orioles as a special adviser to GM Mike Elias as well as a community ambassador.

Adam Jones may only be a special advisor for the Baltimore Orioles, but it’s clear he’s ready to make an impact on the franchise where he spent most of his career. Jones will work for general manager Mike Elias and also serve as a community ambassador for the club.

Gunnar Henderson has reached the status of cover star, but he’s going to have to share. The Orioles’ shortstop on Tuesday was named a co-cover athlete for “MLB The Show 25” alongside the Cincinnati Reds’ Elly De La Cruz and Pittsburgh Pirates’ Paul Skenes,
