A Denver family alleges that a police SWAT team mistakenly raided their apartment in June 2023, forcing a mother and a grandmother out at gunpoint and then terrifying two young girls who were still inside the home.
A lawsuit filed in Denver County Court on Tuesday alleges that the Denver Police Department "terrorized" a family in the wrong apartment when they were looking for a suspect.
Officers locked the entire family in a police vehicle for at least an hour before letting them go free, according to the lawsuit.

DENVER (KDVR) — The Aurora Police Department SWAT Team executed a search warrant, according to a post on X by the department. The warrant was issued for a residence in the 1900 block of South Ouray Street. The APD SWAT team is being assisted by Police Area Representatives and detectives with the General Investigations Section.
