Max Homa apparently had enough of the wind and his own ragged play on Thursday in the Farmers Insurance Open. The champion of the event at Torrey Pines in 2023 withdrew with three holes to play on the North Course after heavy winds forced officials to suspend play.

Max Homa's sixth and most recent PGA Tour victory came at the 2023 Farmers Insurance Open. His bid for a second title in three years started well enough with a tee shot into the fairway at the par-4 first on the South Course.

Max Homa withdrew late in his second round of the Farmers Insurance Open. Play was suspended Thursday at Torrey Pines because of high winds. The Tour later announced via social media that Homa, who was through 15 holes in Round 2, was a WD.

Homa then parred the par-5 9th to post a 5-over 41 for his opening nine holes at Torrey Pines — the worst 9-hole stretch of his PGA Tour career on the South Course.
