Carlos Beltrán and Andruw Jones are going to have to wait at least another year to be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.The two former players fell barely short of meeting the requisite votes for induction on Tuesday.

It now appears it’s a question of when, not if, Carlos Beltrán will be voted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. Next year could be his time. The ballot is wide open.

Carlos Beltrán appeared on 70.3% of the ballots Tuesday, leaving the former Mets and Yankees outfielder shy of the 75% required for Hall of Fame election.

Japanese icon Ichiro Suzuki was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame on January 22, 2025, becoming the first Japanese athlete and Asian to receive this honor. Securing 393 out of 394 votes,

Andruw Jones, the iconic former Braves center fielder, was not elected to the Hall of Fame in his eighth year on the ballot. His gains suggest he could be inducted in either of the next two years, but he’ll need a bump in support.

As early as next Tuesday, it’s at least possible Carlos Beltran will earn the 75 percent of the vote necessary to gain entrance to the Hall of Fame.

Ichiro Suzuki, CC Sabathia and Billy Wagner are the newest inductees to the National Baseball Hall of Fame as it revealed its Class of 2025.

Ichiro Suzuki should be unanimous, CC Sabathia is an easy choice, Billy Wagner is long overdue and if Carlos Beltrán doesn't get in this year, he will eventually. Andruw Jones would be my final pick.
