University of Iowa competed at the Soldier Salute on Sunday at Xtream Arena in Coralville. Jordan Williams won the 157-pound title, Gabe Arnold was second at 174 and Iowa Coach Tom Brands said the program is committed to the event.
The Iowa Hawkeyes, Iowa State Cyclones and Northern Iowa Panthers are competing at the Soldier Salute wrestling tournament. The Hawkeyes have four semifinalists, the Cyclones have one and UNI has three after Day 1, along with a few contending for placement still in consolations.
