The Mets completed a three-game sweep of the Nationals on Thursday and continue to roll, even as the hamstring injury suffered by Kodai Senga in the series finale remains front of mind.

Nationals shortstop C.J. Abrams hit a sharp grounder that pulled Pete Alonso away from first base. Running to cover first base, Senga received a high throw from Alonso, landing awkwardly on his right foot. After completing the out, Senga fell to the ground on the grass in foul territory, reaching for his right hamstring.

The Mets beat the Nationals, 4-3, on Thursday at Citi Field to complete a three-game sweep. But the game was overshadowed by Kodai Senga's injury.
