Hawaii is seeing some minimal impacts from Hurricane Henriette as it moves northwest away from the islands. Still, winds are 80mph with the storm but there are no watches or warnings for Hawaii, as Henriette is expected to move away and out into open waters the next several days.

Tropical Storm Henriette has rapidly strengthened into a hurricane in the central Pacific Ocean with further strengthening expected but poses no threat to land.

An area of low pressure is likely to develop into a cyclone within the next 48 hours, according to the National Hurricane Center.
