Spotify is raising prices for many international customers. The company just said that Premium subscribers throughout the world will be receiving an email within the next month that outlines the increase.

Spotify said on Monday it would increase monthly price of its premium individual subscription in select markets from September, as the Swedish streaming giant looks to improve margins. The company's shares jumped nearly 8%.

Spotify Technology said premium subscribers in markets across a number of regions would see the price of their membership increase.
