The Dallas head coach found a Christmas present lying unopened in late April, just hours after a 4-0 loss in Colorado in which the Stars were outshot 48-23.

Colorado captain Gabriel Landeskog scored his first NHL goal in nearly three years, and the Avalanche beat the Dallas Stars 4-0 in Game 4 on Saturday night to even their first-round series.

The Dallas Stars visit the Colorado Avalanche in the first round of the NHL Playoffs with a 2-1 lead in the series.
