More than 30 students were hospitalized after three school buses collided while taking kids on a field trip in Chicago.

Suburban students were injured when multiple school buses crashed in Hyde Park on Chicago's South Side Friday.

CHICAGO - Two people were killed and another was hurt after a crash on Chicago’s Southwest Side on Tuesday afternoon. The crash happened in the 2800 block of W. 87th Street in the Wrightwood neighborhood, according to the Chicago Police Department. Police responded to the crash a little before 3 p.m.

At least 30 students were taken to nearby hospitals Friday morning after multiple school buses crashed on Chicago’s South Side, officials said. Paramedics treated children at the scene and transported several by ambulance; authorities described the injuries as non-life-threatening.
