President Donald Trump confirmed the death of Spec. Sarah Beckstrom on Nov. 27. The National Guard member from West Virginia was shot in Washington, D.C.

Federal agencies are leading a sprawling investigation into the shooting of two members of the West Virginia National Guard who were critically injured yesterday in Washington, DC.

As part of his Thanksgiving call to US troops, Mr Trump said that he had just learned that Specialist Sarah Beckstrom, 20, had died, while Staff Sergeant Andrew Wolfe, 24, was “fighting for his life”.
