NBA 2026 Trade Deadline Recap
Digest more
The NBA trade deadline arrives Thursday. While many big names have been traded, more could be moved. Here's the latest rumors from around the league:
Giannis Antetokounmpo is remaining with Milwaukee as the NBA's trade deadline passed. The same goes for Ja Morant and Memphis.
We're looking back at trades that sent Luka Dončić to the Lakers, Jimmy Butler to the Warriors and De'Aaron Fox to the Spurs
#47- Hawks trade Rasheed Wallace to the Pistons (2004). This was an immediate impact as the Pistons won the Championship that year against a stacked Los Angeles Lakers. And the trade was lopsided as thr Hawks made no real gains from the exchange.
Mirjam: Kennard is one more one-dimensional player on the Lakers’ roster. He’s an upgrade over Gabe Vincent because he’s a more dependable shooter. He’s not a great defender, but still, he could help the Lakers a little, for what “a little” is worth – if he lets it fly.
With the Trae Young and Anthony Davis trades, the Wizards proved to the NBA world that they they are getting serious.
The Chicago Bulls got busy ahead of Thursday's NBA trade deadline, making seven deals total. Bulls executive Artūras Karnišovas explained the rationale behind all the trades, saying Chicago is looking to focus on a long-term goal of winning a title rather than continuously being a play-in team.
The Grizzlies are now up to seven future first-round picks after trading Desmond Bane and Jackson over the past nine months. Ja Morant has to be next, but maybe this haul of firsts means they don’t have to sweat the draft capital return for him.
