A small aircraft crashed into the tallest building in Beijing on Friday, according to social media videos and news reports.

A small aeroplane has crashed into Beijing’s tallest building sending debris onto the streets below with Chinese police swiftly shutting down the scene.

Video footage circulating online showed debris falling to the ground, while a hole was visible in the tower's glass facade.
