Colorado state lawmakers are wading into an ongoing conflict over a massive fence between the billionaire owner of a historic ranch property and local communities in southern Colorado.

The American Canyon City Council planned to settle the fracas over a fence at the Napa Valley Ruins & Gardens with a double appeals hearing, only to have the hearing canceled in an unusual fashion.
