A woman whose elderly mother was helped by binmen after a fall said their kindness has "restored my faith in human beings".

Carla, 84, suffered from chronic back pain while living independently. She was prescribed increasingly strong pain medications, from muscle relaxants to topical anesthetics and eventually narcotics.
