Suspects have been arrested in the Louvre museum heist, French officials confirmed yesterday, just one week after two men broke into the Parisian museum and stole priceless French Crown Jewels.

French police have used pepper spray to stop migrants from trying to cross the English Channel. Footage shared on Friday (10 October) shows a group of around 100 people gathered on Gravelines beach in northern France as they attempt to board a small boat.

The two officers are suspected of raping a woman when she was in custody. The IGPN, the police internal affairs unit, has been called in to investigate.
