DFW Airport experiencing ground delays due to staffing
Inbound flights to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) are experiencing delays due to staffing issues. Arrival delays are averaging 18 minutes, with a maximum delay currently listed at 72 minutes. Airport and FAA officials have not yet provided a comment on the situation or specific reason for the staffing issue.
The FAA said Thursday’s ground delay snarled departures to DFW by an average of 21 minutes. The delay is currently in effect until 9:59 p.m., the FAA said.
The Dallas airspace experienced a similar radar outage to the ones that affected Newark earlier this year, prompting flight delays and diversions.
